2024 Cycle Tour

August 11 - September 8, 2024

To much applause, many cheers and a few tears, 40 cyclists along with 20 grandchildren and 7 parents rode the last 1km together along Dallas Road to Mile 0, ending a fabulously successful 2024 Cycle Tour! Over $181,000 has been raised for Grandmothers and their families in sub-Saharan Africa by 72 participants and their supporters in this month long adventure. 10 Rides over two countries were completed, from Campbell River to Victoria, Port Angeles to Sequim, Cowichan Valley, Galiano, Metchosin, Langford, Saanich and Sidney with 31,610km clocked - see the Pedalling the Cycle Tour News for descriptions and stories. 

We are grateful to all of you, cyclists, families and supporters - 'We will not rest until they can rest'.

Monday Friendship Rides 9:30 a.m. (Fall 2024) 

    • On the 1st, 3rd and 5th Monday (when it occurs) meet up is at the Lochside/Blenkinsop Connector. The Lochside/Blenkinsop Connector is on the Lochside Trail just north of McKenzie. https://tinyurl.com/3jfc97um. Parking and a toilet available.

2.     Pedalling Past the Point - 40 km on Thursday, Aug 15th, 2024. Intermediate riders.   Video

3.     Fickle Fig 50 - 50 km on Saturday, Aug 17, 2024. Intermediate riders.

4.     Galiano Gallivant/VG4A Day trip - 20/28/62 or 72 km on Tuesday, Aug 20, 2024. Intermediate riders.

5.     Port Angeles to Sequim - 60 km on Thursday, Aug 22, 2024. Intermediate riders.

6.     Easy Riders - 25 km on Tuesday, Aug 27, 2024. Beginner riders.

7.     Cow Bay 55 - 55 km on Wednesday, Aug 28, 2024. Experienced riders.

8.     Tackling the Serpentine - 35 km on Thursday, Aug 29, 2024. Beginner/Intermediate riders.

9.     Campbell River to Victoria 3-day Ride - 275 km - starts Friday, Sept 6, 2024, ends on Sunday, Sept 8, 2024. Experienced riders.

10.  Victoria to Centennial Park to Mile 0 - 40 km on Sunday, Sept 8, 2024. Intermediate riders.

11.  Grandmothers and Grandkids (parents welcome also) - 1.6 km on Sunday, Sept 8, 2024. Beginner riders.

2024 Cycle Tour Finale - 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 8th, 2024 (Grandparents Day).
