This working group focuses on educating VG4A members and the public about our group, the Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF), the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign (G2G), amazing grandmothers throughout Africa and the community-based organizations where they work.
Education members:

Prepare educational moments for our general meetings to increase awareness of the Campaign
Create and maintain educational materials for displays, hand-outs and lending -- display boards, brochures, bookmarks, banners, videos, and DVDs.

Set up tables at events and distribute educational materials
Attend Welcome Gatherings to introduce the group to new members, provide a newcomers’ information package, and welcome newcomers at meetings
In 2025, The Education team facilitated presentations at Dawson Heights Retirement Residence, and bead-making workshops at Lakehill and Cordova Bay Elementary Schools, creating awareness of African grandmothers (and beautiful paper bead necklaces) with dozens of Victoria seniors and students. As well we supported over a dozen presentations by two of our members who visited some of our partners in South Africa and Eswatini with the SLF in the spring.
